QuestionForge supports LTI 1.3, the standard used by Canvas, Moodle, and Blackboard, so it connects natively to all three. Students launch exams from inside the LMS with no separate account, and grades pass back automatically through Assignment and Grade Services (AGS).
Do students need to create an account?
No. Students launched from your LMS are authenticated by the LMS itself through the LTI 1.3 OIDC flow. You can also share an exam by link with an 8-character access code, which likewise requires no student account.
Can different departments keep their question banks separate?
Yes. Every tenant is isolated, and question banks are shared explicitly with per-bank permissions. A department only sees the banks it owns or has been granted access to.
Can it generate questions for STEM courses?
Yes. STEM mode produces calculation-based questions with formulas rendered in LaTeX, and every numeric answer is independently computed and verified before it reaches an exam rather than being guessed by the language model. AI vision also reads formula-dense, scanned, and diagram-heavy pages that plain text extraction misses.
How is faculty usage billed?
Institutional plans are billed per month — Team at $149 and Publisher at $399 — with document uploads unlimited on every plan. What plans meter is AI credits, the monthly allowance spent on generating and importing questions. Departments can top up credits as needed without changing plans, and Enterprise agreements with custom pricing, SSO/SAML, and an SLA are available.
Is our institutional data kept private?
Yes. Data is tenant-isolated, deleted content goes to a 30-day recovery trash rather than being destroyed immediately, and custom data retention policies are available on Enterprise agreements. Your documents are used to generate your questions — never to train shared models.
